A pillion passenger was stabbed and killed in a disagreement with a bodaboda rider in Garissa Town.
Police said
The 14-year-old boy bled to death after being stabbed in the thigh in a fight with a rider on May 22.
Police said the victim was in the company of his friend and they had boarded a bodaboda from the town to Ngombe area.
On arrival at the destination, an argument arose between the rider and the two pillion passengers.
This prompted the rider to reach for a knife he had and stabbed the boy in the thigh before speeding off.
Police say the boy bled and died at the scene.
He was rushed to Garissa County Referral Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
The hunt for the assailant is ongoing.
Elsewhere in Embakasi, Nairobi, the body of a woman was found in a house after a suspected murder.
The body of Winfred Mwende was found in the house in AA area after she was killed by a man suspected to be her boyfriend.
The deceased’s sister told police she had left her in the house and left for work only for her to return in the evening she found the house locked from the inside.
She managed to enter the house whereby she found her sister’s body lying dead on the floor before calling the police who established the deceased was murdered.
She had strangled marks on her neck and the house was disturbed indicating there was struggle therein.
Police said the utensils had been broken and scattered in the house at the time they arrived there and the woman’s mobile phone was missing.
The body was moved to the mortuary pending autopsy.
Police say they are looking for her boyfriend for grilling.
