Police are investigating an incident in which a house help collapsed and died while in a bedroom in the Buruburu area, Nairobi.
Gladys Kanjukia’s employer told police she developed breathing problems before she collapsed and died.
Kanjukia had been in her bedroom and sat on the bed before collapsing.
She was rushed to Phadam Hospital where she was pronounced dead on arrival in the May 24 incident.
The body was moved to the mortuary pending autopsy.
Meanwhile, two wanted highway robbers were arrested in Kainuk, Turkana County.
The arrests were made on May 22 in Smailele village, police said, identifying the two as Simon Eraite Ekusi alias ‘Damu Yake’, 18, and Godman Ekalale alias ‘Namso’ aged 24 years.
The two are suspected to be terrorizing members of the public along the Kitale-Lodawar highway and were involved in a series of robberies with violence in Lokichar Township and Kaakipong Lagaa, police said.
An AK47 rifle loaded with 20 rounds of 7.62mm special was recovered from the two.
The area has been experiencing cases of insecurity with motorists reporting attacks by gunmen.
More police officers have been deployed to the area as part of an ongoing operation.
