Police are investigating an incident in which the body of a man was found in a car in Thika Town, Kiambu County.
Pedestrians called the police saying they had spotted the body in a car that was parked on the road at the Kangoki dumpsite area.
Police who visited the scene said they established the man aged about 29 had been strangled using a cable and the body was on the co-driver’s seat.
The salon car had been locked at the time of the incident, which forced police to break in to remove the body.
The man was strangled using a binding wire.
Police said they are yet to establish the motive of the May 25 incident.
The car was towed to Makongeni police station while the body was moved to the mortuary pending identification and autopsy.
Investigations into the incident are ongoing.
Police suspect he was killed elsewhere and the car was driven to the site and abandoned there with the body inside.
Meanwhile, the body of a 75-year-old man was found in his house in the Maji Mazuri area, Kasarani, Nairobi.
The man lived alone in a two-roomed house at the time the body was discovered on May 24 afternoon.
Neighbors told police he was found lying on the floor of his house.
The body was moved to the mortuary pending identification and autopsy.
In Ngara, Nairobi, a member of the street family was found dead. He was identified as 36-year-old Isaac Nyaga Njeri.
The body was moved to the mortuary pending autopsy, police said.
Elsewhere in Chemogoch sub-location, Mogotio, Baringo County, the body of one Fredrick Kimunge, 39 was found in his house.
Police said the body did not have any visible injuries at the time it was discovered on May 24 and a probe is ongoing on the possible cause of the death.
The body was moved to the mortuary.
