Two children aged 14 and 11 were Tuesday injured in an electrocution incident at their school in Lungalunga slums, Nairobi.
Police said the two were playing on the rooftop of their school when they touched live naked wire on Tuesday evening.
According to witnesses the children, Fred Mose aged 11 and Brian Kithome aged 14 were at the Brilliant Sharpening Community primary school in the slum when the incident happened.
One of the victims sustained burns on the forehead, hands legs, and stomach while the second one had burns on the face, hands, and legs.
Both victims were rushed to Kenyatta National Hospital and admitted in stable condition.
A team of police officers was sent to the scene for inspection as part of the probe into the incident.
Police said they are investigating the incident and promised action later on.
Police blame such incidents on poor wiring and illegal power connections but urged patience for a probe to be conducted.
There has been an increase in electrocution incidents in most informal settlements.
