Fifty-nine individuals sustained serious injuries on Tuesday after a train derailed between Lang’ata Wuasi and Mapo, as per a police report obtained by media.
The train, operated by Magadi Tata Chemical Company, was traveling from Magadi to Kajiado when the incident occurred.
According to police sources familiar with the situation, the coupling screw of carriage 36073, which was the 17th wagon from the locomotive, broke.
