

Five people accused of stealing 20 boxes of urine specimen containers from the Ministry of Health were on Wednesday charged before a Milimani court.
Humphrey Magui, John Kiema, Antony Micheru, Paul Karanja and Wanjiru Gituku were accused that on February 21 at
Kilimani area within Nairobi County, jointly with others not before the court, stole the urine specimen containers valued at Sh184,000 from the Ministry of Health.
Kiema, Micheru, and Karanja were also charged with an alternative count of handling stolen goods to wit they were found with the urine specimen containers which were believed to be stolen.
The suspects faced a second count that with others not before the court, conspired together to commit a felony of stealing the urine specimen containers.
The accused denied the charges before Milimani chief magistrate Lukas Onyina and pleaded for lenient bond terms.
The prosecution did not oppose their release on bail.
Onyina released them on a cash bail of Sh100,000 each.
The case will be mentioned after two weeks.
