
A 48-year-old man was electrocuted as he repaired the roof of a house in Thika Town in such latest incident.
Alex Miriti died on the spot after the incident that happened on Monday afternoon in the Slaughter area, police said.
He also sustained a deep cut on the head after he was thrown against a sharp object.
Police said he had serious burns on the leg and was holding a harmer when the body was picked up.
The body was moved to the mortuary pending further probe. This is the latest such incident to be reported amid a surge of electrocution.
Officials blame illegal power connections for the incidents.
Meanwhile, police are pursuing a group that lynched a man they claimed was stealing potatoes from a farm in Olokurto area, Narok County.
Police say mob lynching is criminal and want suspects to be surrendered to authorities for processing.
The deceased David Sadera, 25 was accused of stealing Irish potatoes from a farm neighbouring his house.
The body was moved to the mortuary pending further probe and hunt on the gang accused of the incident.
