23-Year-Old Man Fatally Stabbed After Leaving Oyugis Bar In Homa Bay

In Rachuonyo South, Homa Bay County, a disturbing incident unfolded on Wednesday night as 23-year-old Moses Akumu met a tragic end in his own home.

The young man had just left a bar in Oyugis town before being fatally stabbed in the neck by unknown assailants, leaving him lifeless on the spot.

Akumu’s lifeless body was discovered by concerned neighbors, who promptly informed local security officers.

The grim scene revealed Akumu lying on the floor, surrounded by a pool of blood, prompting an immediate investigation by the authorities.

Prior to the unfortunate incident, Akumu had been seen enjoying drinks at a bar in Oyugis town before eventually heading back to his rented house.

The motive behind this brutal killing remains unclear, as stated by Rachuonyo South sub-county Police Commander Lilies Wachira, who expressed the ongoing efforts to determine the reasons behind Akumu’s tragic demise.

This incident follows another murder earlier in the week in Oyugis town, where a man fell victim to a fatal stabbing on Tuesday evening.

The unsettling trend continued with the murder of a 24-year-old, Elvis Ochieng’, at Ringa trading center in the Kojwach location of Rachuonyo East sub-county on Thursday night.

Elvis was attacked and killed at his father’s butchery around 8 pm by unidentified individuals who also made off with his motorbike, as confirmed by area Chief Caroline Onyango.

These tragic events have left the community in shock and heightened concerns for local safety.
