Man, 34 Hacked To Death In Attack In Njoro, Nakuru County


Police are investigating the murder of a 34-year-old who died a day after he had been hacked and left on the roadside in Njoro, Nakuru County.

The incident happened in the Mau Narok-Jua Kali area. Samuel Maina was found lying beside Mau Narok Mwisho Wa Lami Road with multiple body injuries.

He was rushed to a private clinic within Mau Center and after treatment, he was later taken home.

He succumbed to the injuries a day later on March 19, police said.

The body was moved to Egerton University mortuary for preservation and autopsy pending investigations.

No arrest has been made so far. The motive of the attack is yet to be known, police said.

In Diani, Kwale County, the body of Salim Suleiman Gawayu, 35 was found floating in the Indian Ocean after suspected drowning.

He had left for fishing in the Indian Ocean Wednesday morning but he never came back home.

On Thursday his body was spotted floating on the said ocean.

The body was retrieved with the help of beach management unit officials and Kwale County divers.

The body was moved to Msambweni Sub-county Hospital mortuary awaiting postmortem
