An elderly German national was discovered dead minutes after he had complained of pain in his room in Ongata Rongai, Kajiado County.
The body of Ulrich Andreas, 74 was found lying motionless on his bed by a worker at a house he had been in the Olosurutia area.
Andreas had visited and been staying in the area with his Kenyan wife, officials said.
The worker said the foreigner had been to the bathroom on March 14 at about 9 am and later walked out looking frail.
He walked back to his bed and said he wanted to rest.
But when the employee went to check on him minutes later she realized he was unresponsive.
It was then they raised alarm in efforts to save him in vain. The family called the police to the scene.
Police were called to the scene and declared he had no physical injuries then.
The team that visited the scene said they realized he was lying facing upward and that assorted medical drugs were recovered from his luggage.
The body was moved to the mortuary pending autopsy to establish the cause of the death.
Police said experts are investigating the death.
