Man’s Body Found Lying On A Field After Murder In Matuga, Kwale County


Police in Matuga Sub-county, Kwale County, are investigating the death of a 40-year-old man whose body was found lying in an open area in Pungu Similani.

The deceased, identified as Moi Mdzomba Kasiko, a resident of Malomani area in Kinango, was discovered on Thursday morning..

Police said the body had no visible physical injuries at the time of discovery.

The scene was processed before the body was moved to Kwale Hospital mortuary, where a postmortem examination will be conducted to establish the cause of death.

Investigations into the incident are ongoing.

And police in Ruiru, Kiambu County, are investigating a suspected murder after the body of a middle-aged man was found lying along Kihunguro bypass on Thursday.

The incident was reported after members of the public alerted police through the hotline about a body lying at the scene.

Police responded and found the body of a man identified as Samuel Kahuthu lying on the ground.

Police said the deceased had visible injuries, including bleeding from the mouth and what appeared to be a broken neck.

Preliminary information from members of the public indicates that the deceased had earlier been involved in a confrontation with another unidentified man, which escalated into a physical fight.

The scene was processed and documented by crime scene investigators before the body was moved to General Kago Funeral Home for preservation and postmortem examination.

Police have launched investigations to establish the circumstances surrounding the killing and to identify the suspect involved.

Meanwhile, police in Kisumu East Sub-County apprehended a key suspect linked to a robbery with violence incident reported in the area.

Following a reliable tip-off and a swift tactical operation launched early this morning, officers from Chiga Police Station tracked down and arrested the suspect at his home in Kamrongo Village, Chiga Sub-Location.

During the arrest, the officers recovered a red Honda 125 motorcycle believed to have been used to escape from the scene of the robbery.

The suspect was escorted to the station and placed in custody, pending processing and arraignment in court, and the motorcycle has been securely kept as an exhibit.
