Detectives are investigating the death of an American national whose body was found in the kitchen of an apartment he stayed in Nairobi.
The body of James Chandler was found sprawled in the kitchen after a suspected sudden fall.
The cause of his death was however not immediately established.
Police said the incident happened Monday, June 12.
His Kenyan girlfriend who had stepped out of the apartment came back and found Chandler lying unconscious.
She raised an alarm and together with the neighbors, they called an ambulance whose staff declared him dead at the scene.
The body was moved to the mortuary pending autopsy and further investigations.
Police said the autopsy will tell the cause of the death.

Elsewhere in Majengo slums in Nairobi, a couple woke up and found their three weeks old daughter dead in bed.
The couple told police they had woken up Monday for morning prayers when they realized the body of the minor was cold.
She had died hours earlier without their knowledge.
Police visited the scene and found out that the girl had been sickly for some days.
The body was moved to the mortuary pending further processing.
