In a notable effort to strengthen community ties, the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) engaged in voluntary humanitarian services in Embu, stepping beyond its primary role of combating crime and delivering justice.
Detectives took part in a corporate social responsibility initiative, generously donating foodstuffs to those in need in the Dallas and Moi Stadium neighborhoods, with contributions provided by Deeren Chandaria.
This initiative is designed to enhance the DCI’s positive relationship with the public while showcasing its human side.
During their visit, DCI officers also extended their generosity to Al-Madrasatu Shamsiyyah Madrassa, where they brought joy to children attending their religious classes with additional donations.
The presence of the officers and the gifts were met with enthusiasm from the children and their teachers.
Local leaders Maalim Musa and Fatuma Asman received the donations and expressed their heartfelt gratitude.
“This donation will significantly help more than 100 families in our community,” Maalim Musa stated, highlighting the impact of the DCI’s contributions.
Fatuma Asman echoed his sentiments, saying, “We are grateful for the DCI’s efforts in reaching out to us and supporting those in need.
This act of kindness will make a real difference.”
