In Chepalungu, Bomet County, a troubling situation has arisen as local law enforcement looks into the discovery of an Assistant Chief’s lifeless body floating in a water pool just 100 meters from his home.
The incident, suspected to be a drowning, is currently under investigation by the Chepalungu police.
David Kipronoi Tonui, the administrator of the Kapsimba sub-location, was found by residents in the vicinity who promptly informed the authorities.
Police Chief Phanton Analo confirmed the incident, highlighting that the deceased exhibited minor head injuries.
According to a police report, the last known location of Tonui was the Kapsimba trading center.
In response to this tragic event, the deceased’s body has been relocated to the mortuary at Longisa County Referral Hospital, awaiting a post-mortem examination to shed light on the circumstances surrounding his untimely death.
