A media Commercial Director accused of threatening to kill her ex-lover in 2019 through text messages was on Tuesday charged before the court.
Farida Idris Mohamed, the Capital FM commercial director is accused of sending several threatening messages to Hussein Aila Amaro on June 14 and 15 2019 at an unknown place.
Some of the alleged messages she sent are, “Now tell me what the fuck you will do to me and you see I will finish you and bloody Swarma combined.”
Another message reads “I will kill you and if I get that Swarma you have been fucking while you were with me and still fucking every day… she will know who I am then the two of you can continue fucking in Hell.”
She was also accused of sending another message “Now tell me what the fuck you will do me …and you see …I will finish you and bloody Swarna combined.”
She’s facing four other counts of threatening to kill Husein
She denied the charges before Milimani chief magistrate Lukas Onyina and pleaded for lenient bond terms.
The court was told that the lady and the complaint were in a relationship for a period nine years and that they broke up in 2019.
”The said offense was committed in 2019 and the accused is being charged more than 4 years, they were in a business with the complainant,” the court heard.
While asking the court to release her on bail, a lawyer representing the director said that the allegations of threatening to kill were committed in 2019 when the emotions of the accused person were high due to the separation.
“It is now four years and everyone has moved on,” lawyer Peter Wanyama said
However, the court was urged to grant bond terms that reflect the years that the complainant has been seeking justice.
“These are very serious offenses from people who know each other well, she is a commercial director at Capital FM News, and she should be restrained from any contact with the complainant or any of the witnesses.
Hussein’s lawyer further said his client has been chasing justice for the last four years.
The court is yet to give a ruling on bond terms.
