The decomposing body of Teresia Wanjiru Theuri was discovered in her sitting room days after she failed to respond to her calls.
Her siblings told police they last talked to her on August 11.
It was until August 14 that they discovered the body in the house she lived alone.
The family had traveled from Muranga to Nairobi to establish why she was not responding to the calls when they stumbled on the lifeless and decomposing body.

The body of the man was found unresponsive in the sitting room before he was picked and rushed to the hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
Military police who attended the scene said they recovered a bottle of vodka in the room.
