Dr. Anthony Omerikwa has been chosen as the new boss of the National Authority for the Campaign Against Alcohol and Drug Abuse (NACADA).
Dr. Omerikwa officially took on the role of CEO during a special handover event led by NACADA Board Chairperson, Dr. Stephen Mairori, on a Wednesday.
Before this, Prof. John Muteti was acting as the CEO since May 15, 2023.
Before Prof. Muteti, Mr. Victor Okioma held the CEO position for five years before retiring.
Now, Prof. Muteti is going back to his original job as the Director of Policy and Planning at NACADA.
Dr. Omerikwa used to be the CEO of the National Social Security Fund (NSSF) for seven years.
However, he left that role in November 2022, and they appointed David Mwangangi as the acting CEO.
