The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) has raised over Sh69.7 million from the public auction of five properties recovered from former Migori Governor Okoth Obado.

The other property belong former Nairobi County Treasury Head Stephen Ogaga Osiro.

The auction, held on October 9, 2025, followed successful court proceedings in Anti-Corruption and Economic Crimes Suit No. 20 of 2018 and Suit No. 10 of 2021.

The properties, all located in Nairobi, are part of ten assets earmarked for disposal by the Commission under court directives.

According to the EACC, all five properties were sold at prices above their respective reserve valuations, signaling strong public interest and confidence in the process.

The property sold include Riara Apartment(3-bedroom)  at Sh14,000,000 and Greenspan Estate Apartment (3-bedroom) – Sh6,950,000, Greenspan Estate Apartment (2-bedroom) – Sh6,755,000.

The others are Greenspan Estate Maisonette No. 279 – Sh11,000,000 and Loresho Ridge Estate Townhouse – Sh31,000,000.

The properties were previously part of illegally acquired assets traced back to the two former officials, whose unexplained wealth and involvement in corruption were the subject of years-long investigations.

The EACC has announced that the remaining five properties, located in Kisumu and Migori counties, will be auctioned on Thursday, October 16, 2025, and has invited members of the public to participate.
