FIFA has officially confirmed that Saudi Arabia will host the 2034 Men’s Football World Cup, while Spain, Portugal, and Morocco will jointly host the 2030 tournament.
As part of the centenary celebrations for the World Cup, three matches for the 2030 World Cup will also be played in Argentina, Paraguay, and Uruguay.
The host countries for both tournaments were decided during FIFA’s Extraordinary Congress meeting on Wednesday, following a vote conducted via video link with all 211 member nations participating.

The selection process involved two separate votes: one to designate Uruguay, Paraguay, and Argentina as the centenary hosts for 2030, and another to confirm Spain, Portugal, Morocco, and Saudi Arabia as the hosts for the 2030 and 2034 World Cups, respectively.
FIFA members expressed their approval by ‘acclamation,’ applauding in front of their cameras during the virtual meeting.
Saudi Arabia’s successful bid for the 2034 World Cup marks a significant milestone for the country, further solidifying its position as a growing force in global football.
The 2030 tournament, which will celebrate 100 years of the World Cup, is expected to be a historic event, with the matches in Argentina, Paraguay, and Uruguay paying tribute to the birthplace of the competition.
