On Sunday morning, a military aircraft carrying the remains of the late Chief of Defence Forces (CDF), General Francis Ogolla, arrived at Kisumu International Airport.
The body was then transported to Siaya County, where a funeral service is scheduled to take place at Obama K’Ogello Primary School in Ngi’ya Village.
Following the service, a procession will accompany General Ogolla’s body to Mor Village, the location where he will be buried.
The event is expected to be attended by President William Ruto and other high-ranking officials.
General Ogolla tragically lost his life in a plane crash on Thursday, April 18.
He was on an official visit to the North Rift region with nine other military personnel when their helicopter crashed in Sindar, Elgeyo Marakwet County.
