A fire in Mukuru Kwa Njenga, Nairobi, has left one person hospitalized and several others injured.
The incident occurred at Vietnam Village, affecting a residential area.
The Kenya Red Cross reported that a response team was immediately dispatched to the scene.
Four individuals were treated for minor injuries on-site, while one person was taken to the hospital for further care.
The Nairobi City County Fire Brigade, along with community members, worked swiftly to contain the fire.
“The fire has been contained thanks to the efforts of the Nairobi City County Fire Brigade and local residents,” the Red Cross stated.
An initial assessment by the Kenya Red Cross indicated that approximately 70 households and 10 businesses were impacted by the blaze.
