A form four student is fighting for his life in hospital after he was shot and seriously wounded during a robbery incident in Juja Town, Kiambu County.
The student was at a shop when two gunmen raided, police said.
The gang first pretended to be buying maize flour before one of them drew out a pistol and ordered the attendant to stay calm and not to raise an alarm.
According to the victims, one of the suspects got into the shop and robbed the attendant of an unknown amount of money and mobile phones as his accomplice held a gun at them.
The incident happened on May 7, 2023, at about 9 pm in the Judea area.
And as they were leaving, one of them fired two rounds injuring the form four student at Murera secondary school in the stomach.
He was rushed to a nearby dispensary and later referred to Gatundu level four hospital for further treatment.
No arrest has been made so far.
In the Sabasaba area, one Ephantus Thuo reported that he was driving his salon car heading towards Mutoho direction, and on reaching the Karugia area he was stopped by four men.
Two of the men wore a reflector jackets written police.
He said one of them switched off the engine and they started assaulting him using pangas and clubs.
They later took control of the car and they proceeded to Wemba area.
During the incident, he was robbed of two mobile phones and Sh150,000/ before escaping.
The victim who had minor injuries was advised to seek treatment, police said.
