Police had asked for ten days to detain them to investigate robbery with violence and engaging in an illegal protest.
While releasing them on bail, Kiambu senior principal Magistrate M.A.
pond ordered that they should not be arrested or detained by the police.
If a decision is made to charge them the court, instead be summoned to present themselves to the court to take a plea.
The three are also known to be Bunge la Mwananchi, movement members.
Lawyer Danstan Omari told the court they were held on allegations that they participated in an illegal protest.
He opposed the police application to detain them saying the move was unconstitutional.
