Uganda’s Chief of Defence Forces (CDF), Gen.Muhoozi Kainerugaba, the son of President on of President oweri Museveni, has issued a servere warning, threatening to arrest Maj.Tom Magambo, the chief of the police Criminal Ivestigations Directorate (CID), and his whole staff.
Muhoozi said in a statement on Sunday, February 23, “Tom Magambo and his entire department will be the first people arrested today! He is aware of his actions.
The CID will be the first organization targeted, and more arrests are anticipated, according to Muhoozi.
He charged Magambo of abusing his authority to make arrests at President Museven’s direction.
Now it’s his turn to be taken into custody! He is the first, and there will be many to come,” he said.
Muhoozi stressed his command of the Uganda Police Force (UPF) and the Uganda people’s Defence Forces (UPDF), threatening to take action agaist anyone who challenged his authority as CDF.
“I am in charge of both UPDF and UPF as CDF! He cautioned, “If anyone has any problems with that, they will see.”
Muhoozi warned Ugandans from donning uniforms linked to the Nationa Unity Platform (NUP), which is led by opposition leader Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu, also known as Bobi Wine, in an effort to further escalate tensions.
“From now on, we will kill anyone we find wearing a NUP uniform!” he said. No inquiries! If people thought he was serious, he urged them to reply or retweet.
While conceding that he was in fact chasing the opposition leader, Muhoozi also chastised Bobi Wine for associating President Museveni with the threats against him.
“You baboon, stop bringing up Mzee! I’m accountable! And you still haven’t sensed me,” he claimed.
Furthermore, Muhoozi made a suggestion that, based on his and his wife Winnie Byanyima’s actions, Dr. Kizza Besigye might be sent back to the General Court Martial.
“I might bring Besigye back to General Court Martial,” he said. Depending on Besigye’s actions, yes.
Besigye will return to General Court Martial if Winnie even brings up my mother or father. My dad is the only one holding me up. I would have taken care of Winnie long ago.
