

A five-year-old girl slipped into a borehole and drowned in a tragic incident in Juja, Kiambu County.
Police and the family said the minor was washing utensils with her siblings in Olkalau Estate within Mungetho area when the incident happened on Tuesday afternoon.
She is said to have slipped into the borehole and drowned therein.
Police were called to the scene and helped in retrieving the body to the mortuary.
In Naivasha, one Daniel Njoroge Waweru aged 48 was buried alive by loose pumice stones after the walls collapsed.
The incident happened Pumice Quarry in Kamole village along Longonot-Kenton-Fly over the road.
The victim was in the company of other workers on August 1 when the incident happened.
Police with the help of other rescuers, managed to retrieve the body from the pumice.
The body was moved to the mortuary pending probe.
Meanwhile, a fire killed a 48-year-old man was killed in a fire incident in Kwa Ndeti Estate within Kwa Mangeli village, Athi River.
This is after his house was affected by a fire that broke out, police said.
The body of Justus Mutua Kimeu was discovered long after fire engines had contained the fire.
The cause of the fire is yet to be known, police said.
