Goons attacked and tried to access East Africa Spectre Limited, a gas plant owned by Azimio leader Raila Odinga Monday.
The goons who according to witnesses had been dropped at the firm in Industrial Area by four vehicles and motorcycles stoned and shattered windows before escaping.
CCTV footage captured their actions and showed a number of about 20 people throwing stones outside the gate.
The security and safety manager at the company Humphrey Waswa said the persons arrived at the premise on motorbikes and started throwing stones for about 30 minutes before police officers arrived and dispersed the crowds.
“They were being supported with four unmarked vehicles (land cruisers) and we suspect their target was our Managing Director because her office has been damaged,” he said.
Police responded as workers who were inside also planned how to fight back.
Police said they are investigating the incident.
Nairobi area police boss Adamson Bungei did not respond to our calls.
But other officers aware said they will investigate without elaborating.
Other officials said the attack was linked to ongoing anti-government protests in the country over among others cost of living.
Two people were Monday, March 27 shot and injured by police in Migori in protests.
More injuries were reported in Kisumu.
In Nairobi, a police car was torched in chaos in Kawangware.
Azimio leaders led the protests.
