Your Apple ID is the key to unlocking access to a range of Apple devices and services, including iCloud and the App Store.
If you’re unsure whether you have an Apple ID or have forgotten it, you can sign in using your email address or phone number associated with Apple services.
Create Your Apple ID on iPhone or iPad
When setting up your iPhone or iPad:
- Tap “Forgot password or don’t have an Apple ID?”
- Select “Create a Free Apple ID” and provide your birthday and name.
- Choose to use your current email address or get a free iCloud email address.
- Follow the onscreen steps to verify your email, create a strong password, set your device region, and establish two-factor authentication if desired.
Alternatively, create your Apple ID using the App Store:
- Open the App Store and tap the My Account button.
- Select “Create New Apple ID” and follow the steps to provide an email, create a password, and set your device region.
- Enter payment details or choose None, confirm your phone number, and check your email for verification.
Create Your Apple ID on Mac
- Choose Apple menu > System Settings.
- Click “Sign In with your Apple ID” from the sidebar.
- Select “Create Apple ID” and follow the onscreen steps, similar to the iPhone or iPad process.
- Check your email for verification and start using your Apple ID on the App Store and other services.
Create Your Apple ID on a Windows PC
- Open iTunes for Windows.
- From the menu bar, choose Account > Sign In, then click “Create New Apple ID.”
- Follow the onscreen steps to provide your email, create a password, and set your device region.
- Enter payment details or choose None, confirm your phone number, and check your email for verification.
Create Your Apple ID on Another Device
On devices like Apple TV, Android, smart TV, or streaming devices, follow onscreen instructions to enter your information, including name, date of birth, email or phone number, and payment method.
Create Your Apple ID on the Web
- Visit appleid.apple.com and click “Create Your Apple ID.“
- Follow the steps to provide email, create a password, and set your device region.
- Enter a phone number and check the boxes for Apple Updates if desired.
- Click Continue and verify your email and phone number.
If prompted to sign in to iTunes:
- On iPhone or iPad: Open Settings, tap “Sign in to [device],” and sign in.
- On Mac: Choose Apple menu > System Settings, select Apple ID, and sign in.
- On Apple TV: Sign in to the App Store, iTunes Store, or Apple Music.
- On PC or Android: Go to tv.apple.com or music.apple.com and sign in with your Apple ID.
