According to a recent Infotrak Survey, Interior Cabinet Secretary (CS) Kithure Kindiki is the best-performing CS in Kenya.
This evaluation comes as the Kenya Kwanza administration marks one year since the last elections.
Kindiki, who has been leading the Interior Ministry for the past ten months, received an impressive overall performance rating of 59%.
He outperformed other CSs in the government.
Ezekiel Machogu, the Education CS, came in second with a rating of 55%, followed closely by Susan Nakhumicha, the Health CS, with a rating of 53%.
Transport CS Kipchumba Murkomen and Agriculture CS Mithika Linturi tied for fourth place with ratings of 53%.
These five Cabinet Secretaries were recognized as the best performers.
On the other hand, Labour and Social Protection CS Florence Bore and Energy Ministry CS Davis Chirchir received the lowest rankings, with mean scores of 46% and 45%, respectively.
These survey results were gathered from 4,000 respondents across Kenya between August 23 and September 10 of this year.
The survey also shed light on the opinions of Kenyans regarding the current state of leadership in the country.
About 30% of those surveyed believe that Kenya is on the right track, with peace being a significant factor contributing to this positive perception.
However, 53% of respondents believe that the country is heading in the wrong direction.
They pointed to the high cost of living and unemployment as key indicators of this negative trend.
