Global automotive brand Jetour has officially entered the Kenyan market with the launch of four new sport utility vehicles, the T2, Dashing, X70 Plus, and T1, while unveiling plans for local assembly operations to create jobs, build technical capacity, and support Kenya’s Vision 2030 industrial and green mobility goals.
The high-profile launch event in Nairobi marked a significant milestone for Jetour Kenya, a subsidiary of Global Motors Centre Limited, as it introduced a line of vehicles designed to blend performance, luxury, and innovation, tailored to meet Kenya’s diverse driving conditions and consumer lifestyles.
The Jetour T2, equipped with a 2.0-litre turbocharged engine, BorgWarner four-wheel drive system, and a 700mm wading depth, is engineered for off-road enthusiasts seeking power and control on rugged Kenyan terrains. The Jetour Dashing brings a futuristic feel to urban driving, featuring AI-assisted driving technology and a fully digital cockpit for a connected experience.
The Jetour X70 Plus, already a global bestseller, offers seven-seat comfort, smart connectivity, and top-tier safety features aimed at family buyers, while the Jetour T1 caters to young professionals and first-time SUV owners with its compact design, high ground clearance, and advanced connectivity features.
Together, the four models embody Jetour’s “Travel+” philosophy, vehicles that empower adventure, enhance confidence, and deliver world-class performance across both city roads and off-road conditions.
Speaking at the launch, Ali Zubedi, Executive Managing Director of Global Motors Centre Limited, said Jetour’s entry represents more than a new brand introduction, it’s an investment in Kenya’s economic and industrial growth.
