A 32-year-old man from Eland Street in Kericho has surrendered to police after allegedly killing his 30-year-old wife during a domestic dispute.
Cyrus Onkeo reportedly confessed to strangling his wife, Fridah Nyaboke, following an argument.
According to police reports, the couple engaged in a heated confrontation that escalated into violence.
Onkeo admitted to choking Nyaboke and then placing her on the bed. He claimed that when he tried to wake her the following morning, he realized she was unresponsive and feared she might be dead.
Feeling remorse, Onkeo subsequently went to the Kericho police station to report the incident.
Upon arrival, officers quickly responded to his account and found Nyaboke’s body lying on the bed.
Although there were no visible signs of external injuries, there was blood around her mouth.
The body was transported to the Kericho County Hospital mortuary, where an autopsy has been scheduled to ascertain the exact cause of death.
Meanwhile, Onkeo is expected to face murder charges as the investigation continues.
