In Kilifi County, law enforcement authorities have apprehended two individuals found in possession of 477 kilograms of marijuana, estimated to be valued at Sh.14 million.
The suspects, George Nitti and Raphael Mbithi, both 37 years old, were taken into custody on a Wednesday morning within the Swallows Area by the police.
The National Police Service (NPS) reported that the duo was transporting a substantial quantity of marijuana in a Toyota Harrier when officers intercepted them.
Subsequently, the vehicle was impounded as detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) initiated an inquiry into the incident.
