A man who posed as a Kenya Power and Lighting electrician was electrocuted in an incident in Thika Town.
The body of the man was found near an electric pole long after he had been electrocuted on Tuesday, July 4 evening.
Police said they were called and informed there was a body lying along Delmonte Road and later found the man with visible burns on the left foot.
Besides the body, lay an electric copper wire that was hanging, an electric cable, an electric tester, an empty sack, and an apron.
Police said the man had been posing as an employee of the power distributor while vandalizing property.
The body was moved to the General Kago funeral home awaiting postmortem and identification.

Meanwhile, the body of a man was found floating in the Indian Ocean after a drowning incident in Msambweni, Kwale County.
Local fishermen who were in the waters along the Bodo beach spotted the body of an unknown male adult floating.
The body was retrieved and taken to Masmbweni County Referral Hospital mortuary awaiting postmortem and identification as part of the probe into the incident.
