They appeared in court on Tuesday but couldn’t enter a plea as the police investigation was still ongoing.
The magistrate ordered them to return on February 29, 2024, for plea-taking.
In the meantime, they are required to report to the investigating officer every Thursday and await further instructions on when to appear at the Machakos Police Station.
The charges against them include robbery with violence, assault, and causing a disturbance in the court vicinity, as detailed in the charge sheet presented in court last week.
MCA Maeke reported losing Sh.100,000 in cash, along with a Samsung phone valued at Sh.150,000, among other personal belongings during the incident.
He is currently undergoing treatment at Nairobi Hospital.
If they fail to meet the bail conditions, the officers will be detained at Machakos Police Station until the case is mentioned.
The case will be presided over by Principal Magistrate Mary Otindo.
