Police are investigating an incident in which a 75-year-old man was found dead with injuries in his house in a village in Kilifi County.
The body of Kahindi Charo Kombe, 75 was discovered lying dead on his bed with deep cut wounds on the face and head, having been murdered during the night at an unknown time by unknown people.
He lived alone in Vilwakwe village within the Tsangalaweni sub-location, police said.
Police said they are yet to make an arrest over the murder that happened on March 13.
A team that visited the scene said they are pursuing several leads into the murder.
Such incidents are common in the area where elderly people are targeted over several claims.
There has been a campaign to address the menace in vain.
