Detectives in Uasin Gishu County are investigating a murder incident following a fatal domestic altercation in the Langas area of Eldoret.
Police said the incident occurred in the early hours of March 18, 2026.
The police visited a hospital where they found the body of a 30-year-old man, Boniface Masiva, lying on a hospital bed with a stab wound to the right thigh.
Investigations revealed that the deceased had been involved in a domestic dispute with his wife at their home in the Kisumu Ndogo area.
During the altercation, the woman allegedly stabbed him with a knife.
Family members rushed both individuals to hospital, but Masiva was pronounced dead on arrival due to excessive bleeding.
The suspect, who sustained minor head injuries during the incident, was treated and later discharged.
Police officers escorted her to the station, where she is currently being held in custody pending further investigations.
Authorities said the body of the deceased will undergo a post-mortem examination as detectives continue to probe the circumstances surrounding the incident.
Elsewhere in Homa Bay County, detectives are investigating a brutal murder in Rachuonyo East Sub-County where a man was allegedly killed by his two brothers.
Preliminary investigations indicate that at about 7:00 am, two brothers allegedly assaulted their younger brother, Alfred Odhiambo Adie, 25, at their home in Miriu Village, Kawuor Location.
The victim sustained severe injuries and died while being rushed to hospital. His body was later moved to a mortuary.
Police officers visited the scene and found blood stains on the bedding and walls of the house the three shared.
Authorities also recovered a panga and a slasher believed to have been used in the attack, both bearing blood stains.
The body of the deceased, preserved at Jawabu Funeral Home, was found to have deep cuts on the head suspected to have been inflicted by a sharp object.
One suspect was arrested and is being held at Othoro Police Station pending arraignment at Oyugis Law Courts while the second suspect remained at large on Thursday, with police intensifying efforts to track him down.
