

Police are investigating an incident in which a man died by suicide after his house was locked over non-payment of rent in Nairobi’s California area.
Samuel Kimani jumped from the fourth floor of his house and landed on his head dying on the spot.
Police said they were called and informed the man had died by suicide after complaining his house had been locked for non-payment of rent.
His sister told police the deceased had complained life was hard for him and he needed to die before he jumped off to his death.
Police say they are investigating the incident.
In Kayole, Nairobi, one Duncan Nganga aged 40 died by suicide after hanging himself on a rooftop of a building under construction.
His body was found at the scene by locals who called police and took it to the mortuary pending autopsy.
The motive of the incident is yet to be known.
Police say cases of suicide are on the rise amid calls to address the menace.
Police are investigating the death of a six-month-old baby in a house in Athi River, Machakos County.
The incident happened in Katana trading centre where the parents of the baby reported the baby had died in bed.
Police said the parents reported they woke up on Monday and found the baby cold and dead.
The cause of the death is yet to be established.
The body was moved to the mortuary pending autopsy as part of the probe into the incident.
