A man was lynched by a mob after he had allegedly stabbed and killed a hawker in an argument over Sh10 debt in Mlolongo area, Machakos.
The hawker Zedrick Mbugaua, 26 had approached Brian Ndaka, 25 demanding the Sh10 he owed him.
This prompted an argument that went physical, police and witnesses said.
It was then that Ndaka picked up a knife and stabbed Mbugua in the neck, killing him on the spot.
He then tried to escape the scene before a mob caught up with him stoning him to death.
Police arrived at the scene and took the bodies to the mortuary.
The police say they have opened an inquest file over the incident that happened on June 5.
Police discourage the public against mob injustice and term it criminal.
