Jonathan Majors, recognized for his role as Kang in Marvel movies, has been declared guilty of assaulting his former girlfriend, British choreographer Grace Jabbari, in a New York trial.
During the incident in March, Ms. Jabbari suffered a fractured finger, bruising, a cut behind her ear, and intense pain
The jury’s verdict, revealed on Monday after three days of deliberation, could lead to Majors, 34, facing up to a year in jail.
Furthermore, he has been removed from upcoming Marvel projects.
The assault unfolded in a car in New York when Ms. Jabbari discovered a text message on Majors’ phone from another woman expressing a desire to kiss him.
Reports indicate that when she tried to take the phone, he physically confronted her, causing injuries.

The jury found Majors guilty of two of the four domestic violence charges, including assault by recklessly causing physical injury and harassment.
However, he was not convicted on charges of aggravated harassment and assault with intent to cause physical harm.
Marvel, in response to the verdict, confirmed that Majors would not be involved in future projects.
The crime was portrayed as part of a pattern of Majors attempting to control his girlfriend through physical and emotional violence, as revealed through voice recordings and text messages presented in court.
Although Majors did not testify, his lawyer asserted that he was the victim, claiming Ms. Jabbari assaulted him in a jealous rage.
In contrast, Majors countersued her in June, alleging she was the aggressor, but prosecutors did not press charges due to insufficient evidence.
Sentencing is scheduled for February, accompanied by a new protection order prohibiting Majors from contacting Ms. Jabbari.
Her lawyer expressed satisfaction with the verdict, emphasizing its potential to inspire other abused women to come forward.
Marvel, in response to Majors’ arrest, delayed the release of “Avengers: The Kang Dynasty” until 2026, in which Majors was set to play the lead villain.
Another film, “Magazine Dreams,” with Oscar potential, also saw its release postponed following the allegations.
