A mason died after a stone hit him in the head at a construction site in Nairobi’s Kahawa West area.
Wycliffe Zijenga Ochuo, 38 was among masons at the site when a stone that fell off from the fifth floor hit him in the head.


He was rushed to Kenyatta University Teaching and Referral Hospital where he died while undergoing treatment.
Police said they are investigating the incident.
Cases of deaths at construction sites have been on the rise amid calls to address the trend.
National Construction Authority, county governments and police are investigating dozens of such deaths at the sites.
The lack of protective gear has been blamed on the increased trend.

Elsewhere, a body of a man was found on the roadside in Roasters area, Nairobi.
Police said they were called to the scene and informed an unknown male adult aged about 40 years was found naked with a blue flowered heavy blanket and some colorless discharge oozing from the mouth.
He was rushed to Kasarani Medical Centre where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
The body was removed to the City mortuary awaiting postmortem and identification, police said.
