Juliana Mwikali Kivasu, wife of Mbooni Constituency MP Erastus Kivasu Nzioka, has been shortlisted as one of nine candidates for the position of chairperson of the Salaries and Remuneration Commission (SRC).
She aims to succeed the current chair, Lyn Mengich, who has held the role since 2018. The SRC chair serves a six-year term.
The other candidates include Musangi Mutua, James Wahome Ndengwa, Osman Hassan Ibrahim, Rachel Muga Monyocho (from Kisii), Geoffrey Obonyo, Abraham Kiptoo Serem, Sammy Chepkwony, and Joseph Vincent Onyango.
These individuals were selected from a pool of 70 applicants nationwide.
Interviews for the shortlisted candidates are scheduled for October 8 and 9, starting at 8:30 AM and concluding at 3:30 PM each day.
The interviews will take place at the Harambee House, 5th floor boardroom, and candidates are expected to arrive 30 minutes early.
Candidates must bring their national ID or passport, academic and professional certificates, transcripts, and other supporting documents for verification.
Additionally, they must provide valid clearance from the Higher Education Loans Board (HELB), Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA), a registered Credit Reference Bureau (CRB), and police clearance.
They will also need to submit a self-declaration form stamped by the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC), a recommendation letter from relevant professional bodies, and a clearance from the Commission for University Education (CUE).
The public is encouraged to participate in the selection process by submitting any credible information regarding the candidates to the chairperson of the selection panel at Harambee House by October 7, 2024, at 5 PM.
