Police in Thika are investigating an incident where an irate mob attacked and killed a brother of a suspect who had allegedly stabbed to death another man at Kiandutu Slums.
The incident happened after the mob that was baying for the blood of Kelvin Kioko failed to find him and instead found his brother.
Kioko is said to have stabbed a middle-aged man at Mtatu A area at around 3am Monday leaving him for dead for unknown reasons before fleeing.

The victim was rushed to Thika Level 5 Hospital by his neighbours who answered his distress calls but he was pronounced dead on arrival.
And in a retaliation attempt, a mob went to search for the assailant at his home in a neighbouring slum, Kianjau, but he was not there.
Police said the gang attacked his brother and killed him.
Mary Wanjiku Muiruri, mother of the innocent son killed at his home, is now appealing to the security agencies to investigate the matter and bring the perpetrators to book.
Police say they are investigating the incident. Mob lynching incidents have been on the rise in major informal settlement areas amid calls to address the menace.
Police warn the trend is criminal and want suspects to be surrendered to authorities for processing.
