Kenya Railways has announced the suspension of its morning train service between Limuru and Nairobi Central Business (CBD) for Monday, November 25,2024.
In a public notice , the state corperation attributed the disruption to “unavoidable circumstances” and apologized for the inconvenience caused to passengers.
“We wish to notify members of the public that due to unavoidable circumstances, tha train that plies the Limuru-Nairobi CBD route will not run this mornong” read the statement.
Kenya Railways assured commuters that updates on the service resumption would be communicated throughout the day.
While the Limuru service is temporarily unavailable, all other commuters train routes including Lukenya,Syokimau,Embakasi village and Ruiru will operate as scheduled.

Limuru Route
Evining Services: Depature Nairobi Central Station at 5:50 pm making stops at Kibera, Dagoratti and Kikuyu before reaching Limuru at 7:20 pm
Morning Services (Suspended today ): Typically departs Limuru at 5:50 am and arrives in Nairobi at 7:50am.
Embakasi Route
Morning Trips: First train departs Nairobi at 5:45 am with subsequent services running at intervals untile 8:00pm.
Return Trips: Trains from Embakasi Village operate from 6:19 am to 7:15 pm.
Syokimau Route
Outbound Trains: Begin at 6:35 am from Nairobi central Station with frequent departures untile 8:10 pm.
Inbound Trains: Depart Syokimau starting at 7:15 am and run untill 7:05 pm.
Lukenya Route
Evining Departures: Trains leaves Nairobi at 5:50 pm and 6:40 pm arriving in lukenya at 7:30 pm and 8:30 pm respectively.
Morning Departures: first train departs Lukenya at 5:45 am reaching Nairobi by 7:40 am.
