MSS Force Commander Godfrey Otunge has refuted claims that the United States has suspended its support for the Haiti mission, labeling such reports as misinformation.
Otunge clarified that the MSS mission remains a priority for the US government, and structural adjustments are expected during the ongoing transition of the government.
Otunge emphasized that despite rumors of a funding freeze, the MSS mission continues without disruption.
He stated that as part of the US administration’s ongoing 90-day review of development assistance, the mission is fully operational, with all necessary mechanisms in place to ensure its success.

He also reassured the public that both the US and other partner nations continue to provide vital logistical, financial, and equipment support to the mission.
Otunge highlighted that flights delivering necessary supplies are arriving almost daily, and both the Department of Defense and the Department of State remain actively involved in MSS operations.
In addition, Otunge confirmed the successful arrival of a Salvadoran contingent and the anticipated arrival of the fourth Kenyan contingent tomorrow.
He also mentioned the expected delivery of the CASIVAC and MELIVAC helicopters from El Salvador by the end of this week.
The MSS Force Commander assured the people of Haiti that the mission is on track and remains fully committed to restoring peace and stability in the country.
