Residents of Kabiria have a reason to celebrate after the Nairobi County Government launched a completely refurbished Beyond Zero container.
This is after many years that the Beyond Zero Container was placed and abandoned at the Kabiria Chiefs Compound.
The move by the Johnson Sakaja administration now brings hope to those seeking medical attention within their neighborhood.
The container is complete with an examination room, a Lab, and a consultation room with a doctor and nurse on call.
On Wednesday, Nairobi County Health Facilities Chief Officer Geoffrey Mosiria and staff from the County health department graced the launch event to officially hand over the facility.
” This is a game changer in Governor Sakaja’s health delivery plan as we bring services closer home to Nairobi residents in a convenient way never seen before,” Mosiria said.
On Wednesday, staff had a busy day as they began in earnest to attend to mothers and kids who sought medical services.
The facility will greatly assist in decongesting the other Health Centers at Waithaka, Muthua, and Mutuini where only a few cases will now be referred.
The Beyond Zero container facility is the first in Dagoretti Sub County and the County has envisaged plans to set up more of its kind.
This is in line with the Nairobi governor’s vision to revamp the County’s health system by bringing quality medical services close to its residents
