OpenAI, the company behind ChatGPT, has introduced some exciting new features.
One of these features allows you to have a voice conversation with ChatGPT.
This means you can speak to it, and it will respond with its own voice.
You can use this new feature in various ways.
For example, you can ask ChatGPT to tell your family a bedtime story or settle a debate at the dinner table.
It’s like having a chat with a smart friend.
The voice feature in ChatGPT is similar to what you find in Amazon’s Alexa or Apple’s Siri.
These are voice assistants that can answer your questions and perform tasks.
In a demo provided by OpenAI, a user asked ChatGPT to create a story about a sunflower hedgehog named Larry.
ChatGPT not only narrated the story but also answered questions like, “What did Larry’s house look like?” and “Who was his best friend?”
OpenAI explained that ChatGPT’s voice capability is made possible by a special technology that can turn text into lifelike speech.
They even worked with professional voice actors to create five different voices for ChatGPT.
OpenAI is also adding another feature that lets ChatGPT respond to prompts with images.
For example, you can take a photo of your fridge’s contents and ask ChatGPT to help you plan a meal with what you have.
You can also use a drawing tool to ask ChatGPT about specific parts of an image.
These new features will be available in the ChatGPT app for paying subscribers of the Plus and Enterprise services in the next two weeks.
The Plus service costs $20 per month, while the Enterprise service is for business clients.
OpenAI’s updates are part of the ongoing competition in the tech industry to make AI smarter and more useful.
Other tech giants like Google and Amazon are also working on improving their AI-powered tools to provide better services to their users.
