OpenAI explained that ChatGPT’s voice capability is made possible by a special technology that can turn text into lifelike speech.
They even worked with professional voice actors to create five different voices for ChatGPT.
OpenAI is also adding another feature that lets ChatGPT respond to prompts with images.
For example, you can take a photo of your fridge’s contents and ask ChatGPT to help you plan a meal with what you have.
You can also use a drawing tool to ask ChatGPT about specific parts of an image.
These new features will be available in the ChatGPT app for paying subscribers of the Plus and Enterprise services in the next two weeks.
The Plus service costs $20 per month, while the Enterprise service is for business clients.
