

The woman has been identified as Rispa Ndunge Vaati, 27 from Kitui County.
Her boyfriend Morris Njuguna Mwangi took the police to a shop he bought the sack in that he stuffed the body of the woman before he left it about 500 meters from where they stayed.
The murder incident happened on Monday, April 17 and he stayed with the body in the house and stuffed it in a suitcase and later in a sack before he left it at the scene it was found by neighbors.
The suspect informed the officers that the two were working in a hotel within the Kamakis area where the deceased was a cashier and the suspect was a chef.
He informed officers that they had a domestic quarrel where the suspect hit the deceased on the head and killed her instantly.
The suspect then put the body of the deceased in a suitcase that was in the house.
The suspect led the investigation team to a shop where he bought a sack that he used to dispose of the body in the nearby rental building.
The suspect also led the officers to the Mukuyu area in Muranga where they also recovered the mobile handset of the deceased from his cousin.
When he realized she had died, he decided to find ways of disposing of the body.
He then picked up her mobile phone and took it to his Murang’a home and left it there.
The mobile phone was recovered on Friday morning as part of the evidence.
Police termed the developments as a breakthrough in the murder probe.
The incident was discovered by locals who noticed the suitcase placed the entrance of the residence.
The suitcase had been stuffed in a sack when the body was found Tuesday afternoon.
Police said they were called to the scene and informed of the discovery before picking it to the mortuary.
