Russian President Vladimir Putin has called for talks between Israel and Palestine to bring an end to the recent conflict.
He hopes to prevent the situation from getting worse.
Over the past five days, many people have lost their lives as Hamas fighters launched a major attack on Israel.
In response, Israel carried out a massive bombing campaign in the Gaza Strip, which is controlled by Hamas.
Putin stressed the importance of preventing the conflict from spreading further.
He said, “It is necessary to avoid the expansion of the conflict at all cost because if it happens it will have an impact on the international situation.”
He believes that all parties involved, including the Palestinians, should come together for negotiations.
Putin emphasized the need for diplomacy instead of relying on military actions to find solutions and stop the fighting.
“necessary to engage in diplomacy rather than with the military side (of the conflict) to find solutions to stop the fighting.”
Over the years, Russia has maintained friendly relationships with both Palestinians and Israelis, even though its ties with Israel have been strained due to Russia’s involvement in Ukraine.
While Western nations have criticized Palestinian attacks, Russia has taken a more balanced approach by condemning violence from both sides.
Putin has attributed the conflict to the failure of U.S. foreign policy.
Despite the complexity of the situation, Putin believes that Russia could play a role in the peace process.
He also called for the establishment of an independent Palestinian state a day earlier.
He believes that the conflict could get worse and affect the whole world if they don’t stop.
Russia has friends in both Israel and Palestine, but it’s not happy with the fighting.
While the Western countries blame the Palestinians, Russia says both sides are wrong.
Putin thinks that Russia can help make peace, but it won’t be easy.
He also said that there should be a new country for the Palestinians.
