Rapper Drake is taking a break from making music to focus on his health.
He just released a new album called “For All The Dogs,” but shortly after that, he talked about his stomach problems that have been bothering him for a long time.
He said, “I probably won’t make music for a little bit, I’m gonna be honest.”
Some of his upcoming concerts had to be postponed because of this decision.
Drake explained, “I need to focus on my health, first and foremost, and I’ll talk about that soon enough.”
He mentioned that his stomach problems have been causing him trouble for years.
So, he’s taking a break from the recording studio.
He told his fans, “I’m going to lock the door on the studio for a little bit.
Maybe a year or something.
Maybe a little longer.”
He also posted a message on Instagram saying, “See ya when I see ya.”
He had some concerts planned in his hometown of Toronto, but those have also been postponed.
Other shows in Denver, New Orleans, Nashville, and Columbus, Ohio, are affected too.
Drake is not the only musician taking a break because of health issues.
Madonna had to delay her tour due to a serious bacterial infection, and Bruce Springsteen postponed his tour because of a peptic ulcer, which is a stomach problem.
Drake, who is 36 years old, is a very popular hip-hop artist.
His latest album cover was drawn by his five-year-old son, who also appeared in the music video for one of his songs.
Earlier this year, he even published a book of poetry.
