Reports from Ukraine indicate that Russian missile strikes struck Kyiv and other cities on Wednesday morning, resulting in casualties and significant damage, according to Ukrainian officials.
Kyiv’s Mayor, Vitali Klitschko, stated that a Russian missile hit the city, damaging power lines and causing power outages in some areas.
Tragically, one individual lost their life due to the strikes in the southern city of Mykolaiv, as confirmed by local authorities.

The entire country was put on high alert at approximately 06:00 local time, with Mayor Klitschko reporting nine injuries in Kyiv, including a pregnant woman.
In Mykolaiv, the city’s mayor, Oleksandr Senkevich, mentioned that one person succumbed to their injuries in the hospital, while others received treatment at the scene for various injuries sustained during the attack.
Homes were damaged, and essential services such as gas and water supplies were disrupted.
Explosions were heard in Kharkiv as well, causing damage to infrastructure, as reported by military sources.
Furthermore, Ukrainian Air Force officials noted the presence of Russian cruise missiles in the western regions of Lviv, Ternopil, and Ivano-Frankivsk.
Since the invasion by Russia on February 24, 2022, Ukraine has faced numerous air attacks, with Russian forces utilizing various weapons including drones and missiles.
