President William Ruto has appointed former Kanduyi Member of Parliament Alfred Khang’ati to be the Chairperson of the Board of Nzoia Sugar Company Limited.
Khang’ati has also served as Secretary General in Kenya Civil Servants, Chair and Director at Cooperative Bank, managing director Ufundi Sacco, and head of housing in the Ministry of Public Works.
Ruto also Friday appointed Dr. Abdillahi Ibrahim to serve as the Chairperson of the Board of Directors of the Kenya Medical Institute.
Samson Kipkoech Some was also picked by the president as the Chairperson of the Board of Directors of the Tourism Fund Board.
Cabinet Secretary for Agriculture and Livestock Development Mithika Linturi through a gazette notice appointed Elizabeth Mudukiza, Patrice Chumba, Millicent Anyango, Bonface Okhiya, Eunice Wanjru, and Okwakau Ino as members of the Board of Directors of Nzoia Sugar Company Limited.
All will serve for three years.
The president extended the selection period of the panel in the National Gender and Equality Act to 14 days.
